The station remained fully operational throughout the survey, requiring scanning around live passenger traffic and train schedules across platform, concourse and canopy levels with tight structural tolerances.
We scheduled scanning around off-peak service windows, merged over a dozen scan setups into a single coordinate system tied to the transit authority's survey control, and delivered a coordinated LOD 300 model across all station levels.
Workflow
The four-stage process our team followed from data capture through to handover.
We captured existing conditions across the 29,400 sq. m transport infrastructure site and registered every scan setup into a single coordinate system ahead of modeling.
Our team modeled every discipline to LOD 300, resolving routing and geometry conflicts directly against the source data before the design moved forward.
The federated model passed a full multi-discipline clash review and a deviation check against the original scan before being approved for handover.
The finished model was packaged and delivered in 15 weeks, along with supporting documentation for the project team to build from directly.
