Project Story
Challenge & Solution
How we approached the scan-to-BIM workflow for Telecom Infrastructure As-Built Modeling.
Défi
Telecom installations need precise spatial data for signal optimization, structural load safety and zoning compliance — manual rooftop surveys are rarely sufficient for modern 5G antennas and supporting base stations on complex high-rise geometry.
Solution
We used high-density terrestrial laser scanning to capture the building state (existing antennas, HVAC and parapets), authored a LOD 300 Revit model directly from the point cloud, mapped mast and microwave-link coordinates/heights, and verified structural mounting points with a cloud-to-model overlay within ±5 mm tolerance.
